Abarenbo Shogun

Set in 18th century Edo, the series follows Shogun Yoshimune who hides his rank by dressing as a lowly samurai and roams the capital to see how ordinary people live. At his side are Magistrate Oo'oka, a pragmatic police official, and Tatsugoro, a spirited fireman with a big heart and quick wit, along with a rotating roster of recurring allies. The show, alongside Zenigata Heiji and Mito Komon, stands as one of the longest running jidaigeki.
