Adult Trainee

Adult Trainee follows three high school students as they contend with the late teenage years from their own distinct viewpoints. Each story captures a different facet of Gen Z reality, from exams and friendships to family expectations and the pressure to know what comes next. The tone blends light humor with earnest moments, showing missteps and small wins as the characters test boundaries and figure out who they are beyond the classroom. Rather than a single hero's arc, the series stitches together parallel perspectives, creating a mosaic of adolescence that feels immediate and relatable without spoiling its surprises. The result is a funny, human snapshot of growing up in a digital age and witty exchanges.

Released in 2021, the series is directed by Jeong Hyeong-geon and Yoo Hak-chan. It presents three intertwined coming of age stories, led by a cast including Ryu Ui-hyun, Cho Mi-yeon, Jo Sung-Joon, Cho Yu-jung and Ryeoun, with an original concept.

The show centers on identity formation and the everyday pressures Gen Z students face, from friendships to career anxieties, told through multiple viewpoints.
