In Chicago, Marissa Irvine drives to 14 Arthur Avenue hoping to pick up her son Milo after his first school playdate. The woman answering the door isn’t the mother she recognizes, nor is she the nanny. The child inside doesn’t resemble Milo, and the room hums with a quiet, off rhythm that unsettles her. What begins as a simple confusion becomes a maze of misidentified witnesses, crumbling alibis, and a city that seems to guard its secrets. As Marissa fights to locate Milo, memories blur, the truth tightens, and every detail feels suspect.
