On Piggy Island life can be a headache for the feathered heroes. Red leads a band of hot headed birds including Chuck, Matilda, Bomb, the Blues and Terence as they guard their precious eggs against the sly schemes of the Bad Piggies. With little more than grit and a quick mind, they face clever traps and rival tech devised by their arch enemies. The show reimagines the beloved game world as a fast moving, gag filled adventure where mislaid plans and stubborn optimism collide. Rather than villains chasing glory, the focus stays on teamwork and keeping eggs safe while the birds outsmart their foes with humor and courage.

Produced as a spin off for Rovio's Angry Birds, Angry Birds Toons premiered in 2013. Created by Mikael Hed, Mikko Pöllä and Lauri Konttori the series brings the game world to animated screens with light action and humor.

As part of the Angry Birds universe the show helped extend the brand into animation and online culture fans recognized Red Chuck and the other birds beyond devices. Catchphrases and character dynamics echoed through fan art and cross media jokes.
