Badland Hunters

Seoul has just endured a cataclysmic earthquake that leaves its streets jagged, its neighborhoods fractured, and its rules suspended. In this devastated landscape a lone hunter moves through the rubble with a clear mission and little patience for red tape. When a ruthless doctor abducts a teenager, the city becomes a trap filled with threats both human and not, and Nam-san, the hunter the city relies on, steps into the breach. He tracks clues through collapsed subways, scorched apartment blocks, and makeshift shelters where fear and desperation mix with small acts of courage. The chase tests his limits, while the stakes keep the danger relentlessly close. The city itself becomes a testing ground for him tonight. And nobody breathes easy.

Directed by Heo Myeong-haeng, Badland Hunters emerges from the collaboration of Kwak Jae-min, Kim Bo-tong and Ma Dong-seok, who also anchors the film as Nam-san. The movie lands in 2024 and sets a brutal post quake Seoul as its playground.
