Barakamon

Handa Seishuu is a talented but hotheaded calligrapher whose temper lands him in trouble after he punches a critic who calls his work "textbook and lifeless." As a corrective measure he’s sent away to Gotō Island to clear his head and rediscover his voice. Used to city life, Handa struggles with everyday rural rhythms, awkward social customs, and the relentless curiosity of local kids, especially the energetic Naru Kotoishi.
