After testifying against her dangerous ex husband, Sophia and their infant Emily enter witness protection to start over. Years pass with a quiet routine and new friendships, until authorities reveal that Mason has escaped a maximum security prison. He is resourceful and connected, making it clear they cannot hide forever. Sophia feels the burden of telling Emily the truth about her father while shielding her from the worst of it, and the decision to abandon the life they built weighs heavily. They retreat to an isolated cabin in the woods, where mother and daughter must outlast a man who will stop at nothing to reclaim his family.
