Big Fan

Paul Aufiero, a Staten Island parking attendant in his mid thirties, lives for the New York Giants in a way that borders on obsession. He and his longtime friend Sal drift through the city chasing glimpses of the team and the glory it promises. When they spot star linebacker Quantrell Bishop at a gas station, the impulse to get close spins a dangerous web of admiration and misread signals. A cautious attempt to talk to Bishop at a nearby strip club becomes a turning point, exposing the hollow core of Paul's bravado and the limits of fandom. The encounter unsettles his routine life and tests his loyalty to friends, mother, and team loyalty.
