Sumru walked away from the children she bore when she was very young and built a different life, one with status, comfort, and a new family. Years later Melek and Nuh learn their mother’s identity from their grandmother on her deathbed and decide to locate her. Sumru now lives in Cappadocia as the wife of one of the region’s richest businessmen, Samet, and raises the children she had with him while keeping complicated plans about Samet’s son from a previous marriage, Cihan. When Melek and Nuh close in, their search collides with Cihan and his hesitant fianc, Sevilay, setting off personal and social clashes without resolving long-buried questions.
