After being expelled from an orphanage and left adrift, Atsushi Nakajima is haunted by a white tiger that appears when he loses control. He discovers the beast is linked to an ability inside him, and that revelation draws the attention of the Armed Detective Agency, a peculiar group that handles supernatural crimes. They bring Atsushi into their fold under the quirky, unpredictable Osamu Dazai, helping him learn to manage his power while they investigate mob-linked mysteries and bizarre cases.
