About Crash Kids: Trust No One
Mike Camber is a regular teenager living with his uncle in Germany whose life unravels after a joyride goes wrong. Left trapped in a crashed, stolen car, Mike is arrested and sent to juvenile detention where he meets Miu, a quiet inmate with a secretive past. The two stumble onto evidence that the warden is running a drug operation out of the facility, which turns them into targets. When they escape, betrayal runs deep, with local police and a friend implicated, leaving Mike to seek out a mysterious figure from his past, his father, as the only possible ally in a world that suddenly feels unsafe.
The movie was released in 2007 as a TV action film, directed by Raoul W. Heimrich and created by Matthias Herbert. The cast includes Thomas Anzenhofer as Camber, Joachim Paul Assbock, Jim Boeven, Daniel Buder, and Markus Dietz.
As a television production, it didn't receive a theatrical release, so there are no box office totals to report. It aired for a TV audience and circulated primarily through broadcast and later home video or TV reruns.
Crash Kids: Trust No One didn't become a mainstream hit, but it has a modest afterlife among viewers who seek out obscure European TV action titles. It occasionally appears in online discussions about late 2000s German TV movies, mostly for its twist-heavy plot and gritty juvenile detention setting rather than mainstream fame.
Critical reaction was mixed to negative, reflected in a low average user score. Reviewers and viewers pointed to thin character development and uneven production values, while some appreciated the film's tense atmosphere and themes of mistrust, corruption, and fractured family ties. The film leans on paranoia and betrayal, aiming for a pulpy, noir-tinged tone more than subtlety, which will appeal to viewers who like straightforward, fast-moving TV action.
