About Cutie Pie
Lian is a composed, buttoned-up businessman who has been promised in marriage to Kuea, a spontaneous musician with little patience for rules. Early episodes show the mismatch in temperament and priorities as the arranged engagement unravels, and both characters make choices that change their relationship. After they call off the arrangement, Lian starts to notice Kuea in ways he hadn’t allowed himself before, and small gestures and awkward conversations pull them closer. The series balances lighthearted banter with quieter moments of self-reflection, keeping the focus on how attraction can grow from understanding, compromise and shared vulnerability without revealing late twists or the finale.
Released in 2022, Cutie Pie was directed by Kittipat Jampa and created by Piangpaitoon Satrawaha and Preechaya Prayongsap. The show mixes comedy and drama and features Pruk Panich as Lian and Chawarin Perdpiriyawong as Kuea, supported by Kornthas Rujeerattanavorapan, Natasit Uareksit and Koraphat Lamnoi.
There are no records of major industry awards or high-profile nominations for the series at this time. While it hasn’t appeared on major awards shortlists, the show has attracted attention within its viewing community and among genre fans.
Cutie Pie found a dedicated audience online, with viewers sharing clips and discussing the shifting power dynamics between an arranged relationship and chosen affection. The chemistry between the leads, the use of music in several scenes, and the blend of comedic moments with emotional beats helped it stand out among recent romantic comedies on streaming platforms and fan forums.
Critical and audience reaction skews positive, reflected in a 7.7/10 average from 58 votes. Viewers tend to highlight the lead performances and the show’s warm, sometimes awkward humor, while noting occasional predictable plot turns. The series focuses on themes of personal growth, the contrast between duty and desire, and how two people from different worlds can learn to value each other.
