Penny, the coach's daughter from the earlier Dead In The Pool, wakes up after a brutal assault unable to walk and confined to a wheelchair. Medical trials offer a chance to recover her mobility, but the experimental treatments come with unsettling side effects. As Penny begins dreaming of killing the people she thinks are responsible, those same targets start turning up dead, drowned. Suspicion falls on her rival Susan Pierce and on Penny herself, whose nightmares feel increasingly real. The film follows Penny's unraveling as friends, enemies, and investigators try to figure out whether a human killer is at work or something else is manipulating the truth.
