During a casual day Nobita finds a stray dog and brings him home, thinking he is a simple pet. The dog hides a bigger secret he is a prince from a distant homeland tucked inside an African forest known as Smokers Forest. To help him return to his people, Doraemon and the group including Nobita, Shizuka, Gian, and Suneo set off on an airship and other gizmo powered travel. The trip blends science fiction gadgets with fantasy landscapes as the friends meet strange creatures and navigate unfamiliar customs.
