A rising presidential hopeful who promises to rid the country of crime finds his campaign complicated by a private tragedy. After returning home with his wife, he discovers the body of a young intruder who had been stealing from them, a son whose addiction mirrors the social ills he vows to eliminate. Rather than report the death, he chooses to conceal what happened until after the election, setting up a tense balance between political ambition and moral responsibility. The film follows how that choice affects his household and campaign, mixing dark humor with uncomfortable moral questions without revealing how events resolve.
