Marshal Jack Carter is a practical, down-to-earth lawman whose routine life changes after a car crash leaves him stranded in the seemingly sleepy Pacific Northwest town of Eureka. He quickly discovers the town is a government-created refuge for the world's brightest scientists and their families, where cutting edge experiments are part of daily life. What begins as an effort to get back on the road turns into policing unpredictable inventions, eccentric geniuses, and escalating incidents that put locals at risk.
