Luke Hobbs, a by-the-book US Diplomatic Security agent, and Deckard Shaw, a rogue operative with a knack for violence, have spent years trading insults and fists, never settling scores. When Brixton, a cyber-genetically enhanced mercenary with a plan that could upend global stability, targets a member of Shaw's family and unleashes dangerous tech, Hobbs and Shaw are pushed into an uneasy alliance. They keep butting heads, using different rules and tactics, but their grudging cooperation is necessary to track down Brixton and stop the threat. Along the way they spar with allies and enemies, rely on outrageous set-piece fights, and mix blunt force with sarcastic banter as they try to stop a plot that has high stakes for civilization.
