About Fights Break Sphere
In a harsh world where power decides who rules, Xiao Yan was once a prodigy admired by many, until he inexplicably lost his fighting abilities three years ago. Stripped of his reputation and the promise he made to his mother, he has been reduced to an ordinary life while questions hang over what caused his fall. When his former fianc e reappears and old rivals resurface, Xiao Yan is pushed to reckon with betrayal, pride, and the mystery behind his vanished strength. The series follows his attempt to piece together the past, rebuild what he lost, and confront a dangerous landscape full of treasure and threat, without revealing the twists that drive later episodes.
Released in 2017, the animation adapts the web novel Tian Can Tu Dou. It was directed by Gu Zhenhua and Chen Baijun, and features voice performances from Liu Sanmu, Liu Yuxuan, Wan Suwan, Zhu Jun, and Chen Yiwen.
No major international awards are associated with the show, and there’s no record of high-profile prize wins. It has, however, maintained a consistent fan following among viewers of Chinese animated adaptations and on streaming platforms where genre fans gather.
Within the growing wave of donghua adaptations, Fights Break Sphere played a role in bringing web novel stories to wider animation audiences. Characters such as Yao Lao and Medusa, along with the duel-heavy set pieces, helped the series find a foothold with international fans who follow translated donghua and novel-to-animation projects.
Critics and viewers tend to praise its action choreography, clear world rules, and energetic pacing. With an average rating of 8.3/10 from a modest sample of voters, people highlight themes of recovery, ambition, loyalty, and rivalry. The show balances fights and character moments, and it's often recommended to viewers who like serialized power progression stories and animated battle sequences.
