Victor is a bright but reserved student in a small town who adores his loyal dog Sparky. After a car accident takes Sparky away, the boy uses a homemade science trick to bring him back to life. The reanimated dog returns with energy and mischief, and Victor believes he has saved his best friend. But the town reacts with fear as Sparky's strange revival unsettles neighbors and pets alike. Rumors and suspicion spread, forcing Victor to juggle his desire to protect Sparky with the reality that tampering with life has consequences.
