Five years after a brutal clash with an otherworldly invader, pilot Gô Saruwatari and Anna Aoi are finally ready to get married. Their history is messy and charged, and they try to celebrate that bond on their wedding day. Instead the ceremony is shattered when the alien threat returns, forcing Gô back into the cockpit and Anna into the chaos she thought she’d left behind.
