When Danielle Azulai is killed in a hit-and-run in Tel Aviv, her husband Segev Azulai watches the life he knew collapse. Refusing to accept a simple accident, Segev follows a trail of evasions and false leads that carries him from Israel to New York, chasing people who vanish into another legal system. He teams up with an old lover and a handful of allies, and the investigation peels back layers of lies, hidden identities and dangerous connections. As he closes in, Segev crosses legal and moral lines, and the search forces him to rethink who Danielle really was and what their marriage had actually been built on.
