Sydney Ragsdale is freshly divorced and heads to a snowy seaside town to spend Christmas in a house she inherited, bringing along her young daughter. She soon spends most of her days at the town's cozy bookstore, where the local teacher Mac works and also fills in as the town Santa. Mac believes in making Christmas wishes come true, and Sydney gradually lets herself hope again.
