About Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight

Kit Taylor is an ordinary teen who suddenly finds himself pulled into a dazzling, danger filled world where armored riders fight for control of a mysterious power. He teams up with Lenn, who becomes Wing Knight, and the two forge an uneasy alliance as they learn to summon weapons and mounts from a deck of magical cards. In this parallel realm, allies and rivals cross paths in high stakes duels while a behind the scenes manipulator pulls the strings of the Rider War. As challenges mount, Kit and Lenn must decide who they can trust, face heavy choices, and discover what heroism really costs.

Aired on The CW4Kids from December 13, 2008 to December 26, 2009. It is an American adaptation of the Japanese series Kamen Rider Ryuki and was developed for television by Steve and Michael Wang. The show mixed stylized action with ongoing character drama aimed at younger audiences.

Box office numbers aren’t relevant to this title because it was released as a television series rather than a feature film. It aired weekly on The CW4Kids, with self contained episodes that still fed into a larger arc about power, betrayal and the Rider War.

As one of the early US adaptations of a long running Japanese franchise, Dragon Knight helped bring Kamen Rider to American kids through a Saturday morning block. It stands in the lineage of US tokusatsu efforts following Saban's Masked Rider from 1995 and contributed to ongoing fan interest in the franchise, spawning collectible toys, online communities, and discussion about how such shows translate to American sensibilities.

Fans gave the series a solid online reception, rating it 8.2 out of 10 from 95 votes, indicating a positive response within its fan community. The show centers on friendship, identity and the pull of power tests loyalty under pressure, and it balances action driven suspense with character moments that appeal to both kids and older viewers.
