At the Bobby Wasabi Martial Arts Academy, run by Sensei Rudy, the dojo is barely keeping its doors open as part of a nationwide chain. When teen Jack reluctantly steps inside, he meets a mismatched crew including Jerry, a tough guy who slacks off, and Kim, a confident martial arts expert. The group teaches a flock of neighborhood misfits the basics of karate while tackling everyday mischief and life lessons.
