About Kill
On a crowded Delhi bound train, Amrit Rathod, a disciplined army commando, learns the woman he loves is being forced into an arranged marriage. He decides to intervene and boards the train to stop the match and defend her right to choose. Soon the carriage becomes a battleground as a gang of knife wielding thieves starts terrorizing the passengers. Amrit leans on his training to repel these attackers in a series of close quarter clashes, one skirmish after another. The action is relentless, and every encounter forces him to balance duty against personal risk while the train rattles toward its uncertain destination.
Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and released in 2024, Kill is built from a screenplay associated with creator Ayesha Syed. The film features Lakshya Lalwani as Amrit Rathod and brings together Raghav Juyal, Tanya Maniktala, Ashish Vidhyarthi and Abhishek Chauhan in a tense ensemble. The production design leans on the claustrophobic spaces of the train, while the action choreographers craft relentless hand to hand combat, gunplay and strategic takedowns. The budget sits around 4.8 million, signaling a polished, high energy production for its scale.
Despite the limited budget, Kill earned about 5.6 million worldwide, indicating a modest but profitable return for a genre driven thriller. The film performed better among audiences who enjoy action oriented thrillers on a compact setting, and its efficient pacing helps it stretch the budget.
Reception is reflected in a 7.14 average from 451 votes, suggesting a solid if not sensational response. The film tours themes of autonomy, sacrifice and love under pressure, using the claustrophobic train setting to heighten moral choices and tension. The lean storytelling keeps the focus on character decisions and the escalating danger around every doorway and seat.
As a 2024 release, Kill's cultural footprint is still developing. There are no widely quoted lines or iconic scenes yet to be cited in wider pop culture, but the film adds to a wave of Indian thrillers that experiment with confined spaces and practical stunt work.
What Viewers Are Saying
On a train bound for Delhi a bandit crew robs the passengers and Lakshya pulls off some surprisingly slick stunts from a fire extinguisher to a bathroom sink. Brutal and relentless, the action lands hard but the fights get repetitive and the knife kills start to feel the same after a while. Characters never click with the audience, so the melodrama lands flat even when the body count climbs. It runs too long and the tension rarely sticks, though a few set pieces still land hard.
