Po and his adoptive father travel to a hidden panda village so Po can reconnect with his roots, but their peaceful visit is interrupted when an ancient spirit warrior named Kai begins stealing the chi of kung fu masters across China. With the balance of skill and safety threatened, Po leaves his teaching role to assemble an unlikely force, blending his Furious Five allies with new panda recruits to stand against Kai. Along the way Po grapples with leadership, legacy and what it means to protect others, mixing slapstick and serious moments as he learns how family and identity shape his role in the wider world, while the Valley of Peace awaits the outcome.
