Mama's Family

Thelma Harper runs a loud, opinionated household and treats every trouble with a sharp tongue. When her recently divorced son Vint and his teenage kids move in, the house fills with new energy, clashing viewpoints, and a steady supply of miscommunication. Aired in 1983 on NBC, Mama's Family grew from The Carol Burnett Show sketches and was developed by Dick Clair and Jenna McMahon. It starred Vicki Lawrence as Thelma with Ken Berry, Dorothy Lyman, Beverly Archer, and Allan Kayser.
