Sammo Law arrives in Los Angeles with a very particular set of skills, ready to take on the underbelly of the city. On a personal quest to locate a former friend and protégée, he follows leads through smoky alleys, crowded markets, and late night stakeouts, trusting his instincts more than paperwork. The LAPD affords him a chance to operate on his own terms, and he signs on not as a suspect but as a partner who uses unconventional methods to close cases. Created by Carlton Cuse, Martial Law debuted in 1998 with Sammo Hung in the lead. The ensemble also features Gretchen Egolf, Kelly Hu, and Arsenio Hall, blending martial arts action with crime drama and humor.
