Baek Dong-joo takes a job at a funeral parlor and quickly discovers she can briefly revive the recently deceased so they can speak. Whenever someone comes back, she has to carry out that person’s final request, because ignoring it brings a streak of bad luck and strange accidents. The first spirit to appear is a small boy, and helping him pulls her into a steady flow of odd, often heartbreaking cases. Kim Tae-hee is a pragmatic man-for-hire who works through an errand service, and he meets Dong-joo after being paid to break up with her.
