About Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
Larry Daley, a hapless night guard at a museum, discovers his dynamic exhibits have moved into the Smithsonian's back rooms and are suddenly stuck in a new kind of trouble. The living wonders he oversees are forced to improvise in a maze of archives while he tries to keep them safe and functional. In this round of wandering adventures, Larry bumps into Amelia Earhart, Abe Lincoln, and other legendary figures as they navigate late night corridors, goofy mishaps, and unexpected teamwork. The mission is simple on the surface but tricky in practice, as friendship and chaos collide under the flicker of display lights. Along the way he must calm a crowd of exhibits and keep the vault from slipping into chaos. The stakes stay light but the laughs soar.
Directed by Shawn Levy, this sequel keeps the Night at the Museum premise alive drawing from Milan Trenc's book and written by Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon. Ben Stiller returns as Larry Daley with Robin Williams and Amy Adams.
