Raku Ichijo looks like a normal high school kid, but his family ties pull him into a much darker world. He is the heir to the Shuei-gumi, a feared Yakuza clan, and keeps that fact tucked away as part of his everyday life. Ten years earlier he exchanged a secret promise with a girl he barely knew, vowing to marry when they meet again, a vow sealed by a pendant he still wears. As high school winds down, Raku tries to balance homework and friendships with the weight of his clan duties.
