War has torn her homeland, and Mia, who is pregnant, slips away by stowing herself inside a freight container on a crowded cargo ship. When a violent storm sweeps the vessel, she is carried out into the open sea with limited protection and dwindling options. She must cope with the fear for herself and her unborn child while fighting to survive the treacherous conditions, dwindling air and water, and the cold that bites through the steel. The cramped container becomes a fragile sanctuary and a brutal cage as the waves hammer the hull and spray slips through the seals.
