On a remote South Pacific island, Reverend Conte, a weathered occultist who loves whisky, leads a mismatched group of military rejects to investigate a baffling 1944 Marine disappearance. As they talk to islanders and scout ruins, strange symbols, ritual drums, and whispered legends hint at a danger far beyond conventional warfare.
