Bruno Montt is a father juggling work, kids and the pressure to find someone who can help raise his children. Tired of awkward dates and unreliable offers, he sets out with a clear goal but ends up discovering the person who fits his household in an unexpected place. The show follows his attempts to balance parenting with new romance, while friends, rivals and family complicate things. Tonal shifts between soap-style melodrama and broad comedy keep episodes lively, and supporting characters like Violeta Padilla, Rosario Quevedo, Matías Quiroz and Miguel Antonio Ayala create both obstacles and support, as Bruno learns what a modern family might actually look like. Episodes mix parenting mishaps with melodramatic turns, keeping the stakes personal.

Created by Daniella Castagno, Papá a la deriva premiered in 2015. The series stars Gonzalo Valenzuela, María Gracia Omegna, Francisca Imboden, Ignacio Achurra and Fernando Larraín, and was produced for Chilean television, and filmed on location in Chile.
