In the year 305 of the Alcian calendar, a young woman named Hina sets out after her mother's last wish to find the Legendary Red Baron. Along the way she encounters a half-masked swordsman, Licht, who hides his identity because his Count labels him a degenerate. Their meeting pulls them into conflicts with patrols, enigmatic authorities, and other fighters whose lives hinge on numerical fate, as secrets about the system and the world around them start to surface without giving away major twists.
