Ai-oon has always lived in the shadow of her twin, Ob-oom, who is admired and successful while Ai-oon is seen as the disappointment in the family. On Ob-oom's wedding night she quietly asks Ai-oon to do something personal and awkward: while she and her new husband go away, Ai-oom should end a relationship Ob-oom is keeping on the side. The next morning a car crash leaves Paul dead and Ob-oom in a coma, and Ai-oon is left to carry out a promise she barely understands. When she tracks down May, Ai-oon discovers May is a blind woman, and that the task involves loyalties and feelings she wasn't ready for.
