About Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon
Usagi Tsukino is a cheerful but clumsy high school student who discovers she has a hidden destiny as Sailor Moon, a magical warrior charged with protecting the world. After meeting a talking cat named Luna, she learns she is part of a line of guardians sworn to defend the reincarnated princess of a vanished kingdom. With the help of Luna, Usagi begins training to wield her powers and fight alongside other young heroes who become the Sailor Senshi. As a shadowy force from the Dark Kingdom arrives, the team must balance daily life and battles, uncover long buried secrets, and rely on friendship to confront a rising menace.
Released in 2003 as a live action adaptation of Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon manga, the series was produced by Toei and directed by a team of Toei staff with Yasuko Kobayashi shaping the scripts.
