On a moonlit evening Akira Masaki wakes in a world where wizards and humans live alongside one another, but peace is fragile. Once a year an enormous, lethal moon attacks the planet, and a select group called the Wizards of the Sage stand between everyone and annihilation. Akira quickly finds out she didn't arrive by accident, she was picked to lead those defenders. The show tracks her rapid schooling in magic and military command, the tensions that flare when old grudges meet new threats, and the tough choices leadership requires, all while the looming celestial danger returns on a relentless schedule.
