When antique dealer Ramil Soleil Jonoel accidentally releases a vampire who had been sealed inside a painting for a century, his ordinary life unravels. The creature is weakened and depends on Ramil's blood and help to regain lost abilities, while a ruthless group of Hunters closes in intent on destruction. As alliances form and motives shift, Ramil and a small circle of allies work to restore the vampire's strength and uncover why he was trapped, all while secrets tied to the painting and Ramil's past surface and force difficult choices about loyalty and survival.
