Science Ninja Team Gatchaman

Science Ninja Team Gatchaman follows five masked heroes who form a fast moving aerial squad charged with protecting Earth from high tech threats. Led by Ken Washio, the Eagle, the team operates from a hidden hangar and uses coordinated winged formations, gadgets, and daring rescues to outsmart a shadowy menace. Each member brings a distinct skill set and bird themed codename: Joe the Condor, Jun the Swan, Jinpei the Swallow, and Ryu the Horned Owl. The team juggles public duty with personal loyalties and a code of secrecy, facing perilous missions that test trust, ingenuity and teamwork. Originally released in 1972 in Japan as Kagaku Ninja Tai Gatchaman, the show was created by Tatsuo Yoshida along with Jinzo Toriumi and Hirohisa Soda and produced by Tatsunoko. It later circulated in English as Battle of the Planets and G-Force.
