Shadowhunters

Clary Fray learns that her mother has disappeared and that the world she sees is only partly hidden from ordinary people. She teams up with a band of Shadowhunters, young warriors sworn to protect humanity from demons. As Clary uncovers her own uncanny talents and a history she never imagined, she finds herself pulled into a complex web of rival factions, forbidden romances, and ancient prophecies. The Shadowhunters move between sunlit streets and secret rooms where runes blaze on weapons and wards shiver in the air. The battle to save Clary's mother expands into a larger effort to shield the mortal world from a rising menace and hidden politics. Friendships deepen as danger grows and loyalties are tested.

Debuting in 2016, Shadowhunters was developed for television by Ed Decter, adapting Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments saga for a new generation. The series stars Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Matthew Daddario, and Harry Shum Jr for a broader audience.
