Stranger

When 19-year-old Aathi arrives in a new land with her family, they're breaking ground as the first farmers in a landscape now called Denmark. Tension rises quickly when a nearby band of hunter-gatherers attacks, leaving Aathi alone with her younger brother after their parents are killed. To survive they are absorbed into the tribe, where language, customs and daily routines are unfamiliar and sometimes hostile. The film follows Aathi as she learns to work with strangers whose worldview clashes with her own, while protecting her brother and figuring out what loyalty and belonging mean in a world where people live by different rules.
