Supersonic Man

Kronos is an extraterrestrial hero who comes to Earth to stop a scientist whose experiments threaten humanity. Operating under the alter ego Supersonic Man, he mixes high-flying heroics with an old-school superhero vibe as he clashes with Dr. Gulik, a mad inventor bent on domination. Along the way Kronos crosses paths with locals, including Paul and Patricia, and a pair of professors whose loyalties matter more than they first appear. The film keeps the stakes simple and the tone light, focusing on action set pieces, slapstick moments, and the contrast between cosmic power and small-town Earth life, without giving away how the confrontation ends.

Released in 1979, Supersonic Man was directed by Juan Piquer Simón and created by Sebastian Moi. It was produced in Spain with an international cast that includes José Luis Ayestarán as Kronos, Antonio Cantafora, Diana Polakov, and veteran actor Cameron Mitchell.
