Nam Ji-a is a TV producer chasing ratings who stumbles into a hidden layer of Seoul where ancient spirits still walk among humans. She becomes caught up with Lee Yeon, a former mountain guardian who has spent centuries haunted by a lost love, and their lives start to overlap in ways that complicate her work and his long exile. As the pair deal with supernatural incidents that spill into the city, Lee Yeon's complicated family ties, including his troubled younger brother Lee Rang, add friction and moral uncertainty.
