The Boarding School

The Boarding School follows the students and staff at a secluded, century-old boarding school set next to a dark forest. When teenagers arrive they expect strict rules and exams, but soon strange occurrences, hidden rooms and suspicious adults turn daily life into a tense puzzle. A tight-knit group of pupils and a few sympathetic teachers start piecing together secrets that connect the school to past tragedies and ongoing dangers. As they probe sealed corridors, strange disappearances and odd authority figures, loyalties shift and alliances form, mixing ordinary adolescent concerns with high-stakes peril. The storytelling alternates between youthful curiosity and adult schemes, so the series unfolds as a slow-burn mystery rather than a straightforward whodunit. Tension steadily escalates across the seasons.

Created by Daniel Écija, Laura Belloso and Rocío Martínez, the series premiered on Antena 3 on 24 May 2007 and was produced by Antena 3. It was filmed and edited in HD, though initially broadcast in standard definition for TV.
