About The Case Book of Arne
Louis Hartmann is left to grieve after his father, a private detective, is killed while pursuing a string of murders that haunts the city. The chatter about a Grave-Digger Vampire as the culprit sparks fear, yet Louis refuses to surrender to superstition; he intends to prosecute the killer with or without help. His resolve is tested when a self-styled detective named Arne Neuntöte arrives with his sharp-witted assistant Lynn Reinweiß, and their partnership instantly shifts the balance of the case. The three of them cross paths over a carousel of clues that mix noir mood, late night streets, and eerie rumors, opening doors to a mystery that feels personal and larger than any one person. As new pieces fall into place, Louis must decide who to trust and what truth really means in a world where legends can blur with fact.
This is an original animated mystery series created by Keisuke Inoue and Murasaki, slated for a 2026 release. The show features a stand out voice cast including Mariya Ise as Louis Hartmann, Koki Uchiyama as Arne Neuntöte, Aimi Tanaka as Young Arne Neuntöte, Yuka Nukui as Lynn Reinweiß, and Yuki Sakakihara as Zisye.
Awards: While the series has drawn attention for its design and performances, there are currently no major nominations announced. The production leans into stylish noir inspired visuals and supernatural hints, with a tight voice cast delivering brisk dialogue and a sense of dry humor that keeps the mystery moving between tense moments.
Reception and themes are all about conflict between belief and evidence and how a grieving heart can meet a duo who challenge what you think you know. The show looks at trust, teamwork, and method, asking whether facts alone solve a case or if stories and rumors shape the truth. Through its animation, pacing, and character dynamics it invites viewers to question motives and the nature of danger while staying entertaining and surprising.
