The Gifted

On the surface, life in a quiet suburb looks familiar for Reed Strucker, his wife Caitlin, and their two kids. When a routine check reveals that the children have mutant powers, the family is forced to flee from a government that treats mutants as threats. They soon connect with an underground network of powered individuals who fight to stay free while the world decides who they are. They must learn to harness these gifts while dodging capture, fighting for their community, and deciding what makes a family in a world that fears difference. Along the way they discover allies who share their aim of protecting each other and finding a way to live openly without surrendering who they are.
