The Guild

Set inside an online fantasy role-playing game and in the players' off-screen lives, The Guild follows a loose ensemble of gamers who spend more time with each other online than in person. The central character, Codex, is a socially awkward but earnest player whose relationships with guildmates range from flirtation to rivalry to friendship. Her online companions include Zaboo, a shy romantic; Vork, a blunt and older player; Tinkerballa, competitive and confident; and Clara, whose interactions with the group add friction and humor. Episodes mix short situational comedy with quieter scenes that show how gaming affects jobs, romance, and family, keeping the focus on everyday character moments rather than big twists.

Created, written, and produced by Felicia Day, The Guild debuted online in 2007 with Day starring as Codex. It was made on a small budget for the early web and expanded across seasons as audiences, partnerships, and production resources grew.
