The Hard Way

In this fast paced mix of action and laughs, Hollywood star Nick Lang wants genuine credibility as a cop so he can land a tough guy role on a new TV show today. He cuts a deal with NYPD Captain Brix, who happens to be a fan, to shadow real detectives. Nick teams with Lt. John Moss and spends days learning how to act like a cop, observing procedures, questioning suspects, and blending in on the street. But his relentless questions and impersonations grind Moss's nerves and threaten to derail the investigation. Meanwhile a killer stalks the city, challenging both men to separate acting from reality. Their uneasy partnership grows through shared danger and small lessons about real police work, for audiences.
