The Last Man

Kurt Matheson, a battle scarred veteran haunted by PTSD, senses that catastrophe is looming. He becomes entangled with a charismatic, but dubious, figure who claims to know the end of days. Abandoning his ordinary life, he retreats into a self built shelter beneath the ground, training ruthlessly and sacrificing everything in the name of preparation. Friends and family watch in concern as his devotion grows into an obsession, and they worry that his conviction may be madness. Yet he doubles down, convinced that only a sealed bunker and iron discipline can shield him. When his certainty finally shifts from belief to revelation, a sudden and extraordinary turn challenges his grip on reality and tests the loyalties of those around him.
